Dr Preena Uppal
Paediatrician & Paediatric Neurologist

Dr Preena Uppal is a paediatrician and paediatric neurologist, with more than 20 years’ experience working and training in paediatrics and neurology. She trained through the Sydney Children's Hospital's Network (Randwick and Westmead). She holds dual qualifications as a specialist in both General Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology.
Her particular interests include neurological conditions, behaviour disorders, autism, ADHD, developmental delay, including delayed speech and motor milestones and early detection of cerebral palsy.
She has worked at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick, Children’s Hospital Westmead (2010-2021) and as a paediatrician in Gosford (2021-2024).
She had provided support to GPs and paediatricians in the field of paediatric neurology throughout that time through teaching at various conferences.
She was also part of the NSW Acute Seizure Management committee and has co-authored the state seizure management guidelines (2018).
Dr Uppal is keen to provide services to the area and support GPs with paediatric and paediatric neurology issues. She is easily approachable and provides evidence-based and up-to-date information to the families. She works in partnership with the GPs and families to help achieve the best possible outcome.
